A considered setup starts with the right location and the product’s own instructions.
Check before use
Read the supplied instructions and inspect the item, cable and connections. Do not use damaged components. Confirm the stated power source, voltage and compatible accessories. Do not substitute an adapter or alter wiring based on appearance. Use a qualified professional where installation requires one.
Choose the right exposure
A patio or garden scene does not establish an ingress-protection rating. Only use a product in the environment permitted by its instructions. Keep connections protected as instructed and keep lights away from standing water, pools, irrigation spray and heat sources unless explicitly rated for that placement.
Place with people in mind
Keep cords clear of steps and walking routes. Use stable, level surfaces. Suspend items only from suitable supports and within the product’s installation guidance. Keep small parts, cords and electrical items away from children and pets; these products are decorative lighting, not toys. Do not place fabrics, leaves or other combustible items against a light source.
Cleaning and storage
Disconnect power and allow the item to cool before handling. Use the cleaning method specified for the item; avoid soaking components or using abrasive cleaners without express instructions. Store dry when appropriate, and follow battery or power-system instructions if supplied. Check for wear before the next setup.
What ambience lighting does
Accent lighting creates a visual mood. It is not a substitute for required security, emergency, task or safe-path lighting. If you are unsure about a placement or missing instruction, stop and contact support before use.
